For the parents and caregivers of children who suffer from food allergies, finding an affordable restaurant that serves gluten-free – and tasty -- menu items that kids will eat can be a daunting task. In addition to serving premium, 100% USDA-certified organic and 100% grass-fed beef, Elevation Burger is the only national chain that serves gluten-free French fries cooked in heart-healthy olive oil.
According to the Food Allergy Initiative, an estimated 15 million Americans – including 1 in every 13 children – have at least one food allergy. Elevation Burger is doing its part to accommodate these guests by providing gluten-free options such as its fresh fries and lettuce-wrapped burgers. The franchise prides itself on an “elevated” experience and a fresh organic approach that puts people and product ahead of profit. Elevation Burger offers many healthier alternatives to standard fast food choices, including two variations of a veggie burger, non-processed 6-month aged cheddar cheese, and cookies made with organic butter and eggs. Elevation Burger is also the only better burger restaurant to feature organic, hardwood-smoked uncured bacon on its menu.
Elevation Burger has been recognized as the nation's first organic hamburger chain since opening its original location in Falls Church, Va. in 2005. It has been recognized as one of the most innovative burger chains in the country, with AOL Small Business calling Elevation Burger the “Next Big Chain,” and The Food Channel dubbing it one of the “up and comers” in the emerging “better burger” category.
There are currently twenty-six Elevation Burger locations in the US and three international locations. They are located in the following areas: CA – Carlsbad; FL – Coral Springs, Downtown Dadeland, Pembroke Pines, Miami Lakes, Fort Myers; ME – S. Portland; MD – Germantown, Hyattsville, National Harbor, Potomac, Bowie, Wheaton; NJ – Montclair, Moorestown; NY – Rye Brook; NV – Las Vegas; PN – Collegeville, Willow Grove, Wynnewood; TX – Austin Great Hills, Austin, Dallas; VA – Arlington, Falls Church, Tysons Corner; INTERNATIONAL – Kuwait (2), Bahrain.

What about gluten free buns? Do they offer these?
Lois Martin says
What about gluten free buns for the burgers?
Misti says
No, no gluten free buns, but they serve gluten free burgers in a lettuce wrap.
Dani says
You should double check about the burgers actually being gluten-free because I observed them cooking the buns and the burgers on the same grill. It seems they are not away of cross-contamination. Notice that they do not state on their menu a gluten-free option, simply a burger without a bun - there is a difference and it is disappointing that they do not take more steps towards accommodating gluten-free diners.

You are absolutely right, they do not take steps to prevent cross-contamination. I ate at the Pembroke Pines, Fl location and became ill because of this reason. I was assured by them that they understood my food allergies to dairy and gluten. It is a shame because they seem to be on the right track. I hope this is something they will work on.
